Dr Helen Phuong Luu

Dr Phuong (Helen) Luu graduated from Sydney University in 1997 obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practice. She started work as an intern in John Hunter Hospital in 1998 and progressed with her training in Wollongong Hospital. She did her General Practice training in Southern NSW (Wollongong and Gerringong).

She is passionate about antenatal care, skin checks, female health and all general health care.

In 2003 Doctor Phuong opened Rainbow Medical Practice and over the years at the practice, she has seen her patients grow from newborns to adults, teenagers becoming parents, parents becoming grandparents. She has been there for her patients through the joy and heartbreak of life.

Dr Vincent Giang Nguyen

Dr Giang (Vincent) Nguyen graduated with honours at Sydney University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He joined Rainbow Medical Practice in 2004.

Dr Nguyen specialises in acupuncture, children’s health and minor procedures e.g. skin cancer and toenail resection

He is a dedicated and caring GP who has been there for his patients for over 19 years. Dr Nguyen enjoys walking in his lunch break with Dr Vakees.

Dr Shane Deagan

Dr Shane Deagan joined Rainbow Medical Practice full-time in 2020.

He graduated from Sydney University in 2004 with a Bachelor Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery.

Shane is a dedicated GP who has a special interest in paediatrics, having completed a Diploma in Child Care Health and all general practice care.

Dr T Vakeeswaran

Dr Vakeeswaran joined Rainbow Medical Practice in 2004.

He is loved by his many patients over the 19 years he has been here.

His passion is Chronic Disease Management, mental health and the diversity of all general practice.

He graduated the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, 1987 obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, In 2005 he became a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practice.
